Protector

I want to briefly write about God's protection over His beloved. Last week I was concerned about some issues at my work.  I had been warned about potential problems so I was worrying a bit, preparing myself to deal with it.  I was even kind of nervous about going to work. And you know what? Everything was FINE. No issues whatsoever. I actually ended up having a good week at work, lots of positive things happened, and the problems I'd been so concerned about were nonexistent. As I was considering this, I got a feeling that I have trouble putting into words. But essentially, it was just that God takes care of His children.  He so generously takes care of those who are seeking after Him. It wasn't just my reaction to the situation. Truly, God went before me and laid my path straight. He set a hedge of protection around me and not only kept me from harm but gave me blessings as well.  This is His heart for us. We need to know that and trust it. It is very dangerous for us to start thinking that maybe God doesn't care, that He's just abandoned us to be hurt or damaged somehow. He always has our best interests at heart and he loves to take care of us. When we need Him, God as our father has His arms open, ready to scoop us up and hold us tenderly in His embrace. He is our strong Protector. Our Daddy. Our Knight in shining armor. The thing we need most, that is what He is for us. You can rest in that.

Psalms 91:14 The Lord says, "Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he is loyal to me."

"I am a good good Father, I have a happy heart and I love to give good gifts. Do not be discouraged. I love you and I hold you in my hands." - Father's Heart Oracle by Audra Lynn
